Dolphin Dynamics Ltd has announced the availability of FlightScanner Internet Booking Engine (IBE). FlightScanner IBE allows users to book selected “no frills” flights and web fares from a single booking engine without ever having to see the suppliers’ website. Travel Agencies can now offer their customers access to a range of low cost airlines and web-based fares all under their own brand look and feel, without having to develop an interface for each carrier site.

Rather than taking the place of the popular FlightScanner Pro and FlightScanner Enterprise tools, FlightScanner IBE fulfils a new requirement and is first and foremost an integration tool. “FlightScanner IBE appeals to Tour Operators interested in integrating the FlightScanner supported carriers to their dynamic packaging applications,” says Roberto Da Re, Dolphin Dynamics President.

The main FlightScanner search engine now supports 40 carriers. Currently the IBE option is available for a few selected carriers and is being extended to additional carriers based on client requirements and the carriers’ interest in providing this facility via our engine.

The next stage of development is already planned to address the more complex needs of Business Travel agents that are interested in offering web fares integrated with their own booking engine. The interface specification is currently under evaluation by several companies, including on-line agencies and other major technology companies.

FlightScanner IBE extends the range of FlightScanner products in addition to the existing FlightScanner Pro (web fares only) and FlightScanner Enterprise (integrated web, GDS & net fares).
