Worldspan Wins CIO Magazine’s Enterprise Value Award

Worldspan
was recently chosen by CIO Magazine, a leading information
technology publication, as a winner of the 12th Annual Enterprise Value
Awards in the Travel and Leisure/Media and Entertainment division.
Worldspan was selected from nearly 250 entrants for achieving excellent
business value through the innovative use of information technology (IT).

The Enterprise Value Awards are bestowed on organizations that have
created IT systems that demonstrate benefits and return on investment
across the enterprise. Winners are subject to a rigorous nomination and
judging process and evaluated in criteria such as strategic value,
customer impact, financial return and operational impact. Worldspan was
recognized for its work in developing the LINK system, a world-class,
customer-focused order management and provisioning solution that automates
the global fulfillment of Worldspan products and services.

“Worldspan is honored to be recognized by CIO Magazine’s panel of
technology experts,” said Rakesh Gangwal, chairman, president and CEO for
Worldspan. “There is a rich history of innovation among Worldspan
employees and this award is a true testament to their dedication,
creativity and hard work. Worldspan’s philosophy is to develop technology
solutions that bring maximum value and unsurpassed efficiency to our
customers and suppliers around the world.”

In selecting Worldspan and the other award winners, CIO Magazine cited the
demonstrated value each company generated through the well-executed
integration of business systems, resulting in savings of time and cost.

The Enterprise Value Awards are judged by a panel of CIO Magazine editors,
leading CIOs and other industry experts. Worldspan was among 10 companies
chosen to receive this year’s awards.
