Marriott.com Achieves Record Revenue in 2003

  Marriott.com, the web site of Marriott International, Inc. , set a record
for revenue in 2003 with gross sales of more than $1.4 billion, a 29
percent increase from 2002, the company said. Online bookings on
Marriott.com continue to grow. So far this year, Marriott’s web site has
already booked a record number of reservations on two separate days. The
latest record took place Tuesday, Feb. 10, when more than 25,000 bookings
were made.Marriott has made significant enhancements to the web site for leisure
customers. Travelers are taking advantage of features such as Last-Minute
Weekends, which offers hotel, airfare and car packages, available within
two weeks of departure that offer up to 60 percent savings. Design Your
Own packages enable travelers to custom design their own vacation
packages, including hotel rooms, flights and car rentals for any time they
want to travel. Two or more people can travel anywhere in the U.S., with
the best values booked at least 14 days in advance. These features can be
found under the specials and packages section of Marriott.com.

This year, additional enhancements to Marriott.com will make it easier to
plan and book group events, such as weddings. In addition, Marriott.com
will increase the number of global sites tailored to international markets.
