Hyatt International Returns to Churchill

Today Hyatt International announced that it will assume full management of
the Churchill Hotel on Portman Square London W1. The Hotel is owned by The
Churchill Group Ltd and is currently operated by Intercontinental Hotels
Group. The 445 room property will be known as ‘The Churchill Hyatt Regency
London’ as of May 1st 2004. Hyatt Regency Hotels are Hyatt’s core brand, offering guests Hyatt’s
personalised service and attention to detail for both the business and
leisure traveller. Lobbies and rooms are designed to reflect the best of
local cultures, the food and beverage outlets are inventive and
exceptional technology, meeting and fitness facilities are available.

Hyatt believe that it is important to retain the distinguished Churchill
name in addition to the hotel being re-branded as the Hyatt Regency
London, on Portman Square.

Bernd Chorengel, President of Hyatt International Corporation, said

‘We are enormously pleased to return to the heart of London with our core
brand. This is a wonderful addition to our portfolio and I am sure that we
can fulfil the potential of this important property’.

Michael Gray, one of London’s best known hoteliers and formerly General
Manager of the Hyatt Carlton Tower, will supervise the transitional phase
and will be the General Manager once the hotel management is fully assumed
by Hyatt.

Michael Gray said today ‘We heartily welcome the Churchill team to the
Hyatt family and we shall do our utmost to make them feel comfortable and
integrated’. During the transition period Hyatt will evaluate current
operations and forge a plan for complete re-branding. Hyatt will also plan
for the estimated 18 month renovation programme and while guest areas will
primarily undergo cosmetic renovations, back-of-house areas will be
extensively refurbished.

The Hotel, which overlooks elegant Portman Square, is close to historic
Marble Arch, the world famous shops on Bond St and Oxford St as well as
the West End theatres and cinemas. In addition to the 445 rooms and suites
the hotel offers meeting and banquet facilities for up to 300 guests, a
health club and beauty salon, business centre, tennis courts, car park,
lobby lounge and restaurant, cigar bar and the award winning Locanda
Locatelli restaurant.
