Corus hotels
, the mid-market UK hotel chain, has seen its online bookings grow by 45 per cent across its 68 UK hotels since using Active Hotels’ online booking service.
Michele Poli, e-marketing executive at Corus hotels says, “Our objective has been to improve our online distribution, and we have been pleased by the rapid growth of our online bookings over the three months since partnering with Active Hotels, in September 2003.

“We chose to partner with Active Hotel because of its good market reputation and the extensive distribution it offers across many web channels,” says Poli.

Corus hotels has properties ranging from historic coaching inns and country houses to commercial hotels, all of which are ideal for both business and leisure guests. Most properties have meetings and events facilities and many offer leisure facilities. The group employs approximately 4,000 full and part-time staff.

Andrew Phillipps, CEO, Active Hotels, comments, “Corus hotels make an ideal partner for us as we seek to further improve our hotel offering to meet the needs of both business and leisure guests.

“Corus hotels has been an excellent group to work with. The team’s flexible approach to implementation and their ability to work with us to solve some of the technical issues we came across meant we were able to integrate the system across the 68 hotels extremely fast,” says Phillipps.
