Delta and St. Lucia sign agreement

St. Lucia’s Tourism Officials along with Delta executives have put their name to a new agreement. The new document will ensure the addition of a new direct flight from Philadelphia to St. Lucia. The new flight is expected to bring an added two hundred and seventy-six seats a week to St. Lucia. This translates into a figure of 14353 added seats to St. Lucia per year, out of the Unites States.A number of international carriers have shown their confidence in the St. Lucian tourism product with increased airlift to the island.The trend towards increased airlift after 9-11 began with US Airways committing more seats to the island followed by Virgin Airways and the recent Air Britannia agreement.The latest addition of Delta shows that the global market has confidence in St. Lucia’s product.The new non-stop Delta flight will begin on April 4th.
