Leading British spa brand Elemis, is delighted to announce the launch of an exclusive signature treatment, Le Spa Journey of the Senses, created for the award-winning Le Meridien Limassol Spa and Resort, Cyprus. Noella Gabriel, Director of Product and Treatment Development at Elemis has worked alongside George Tavelis Manager of Le Spa to create a signature treatment designed to enlighten all the senses and only to be experienced by guests in Cyprus.Inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean, the treatment takes the client on a journey of the senses with the exotic sensual textures of warm Milk, Honey and essence of Frangipani, which combine to transport the mind and body to a haven of tranquillity. Le Spa Journey of the Senses is a deeply relaxing body treatment, which promises to condition dehydrated skins using the most natural therapeutic extracts.
As with all Elemis therapies, the treatment commences with the ‘Welcome Touch’, a foot cleansing ritual using warm aromatic Lime-infused mitts. The body is then drenched in warm Milk and aromatic Frangipani Monoi Oil which will soothe, condition and soften the skin. Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage movements sweep the length of the body and caress and comfort the body’s energy flow and help stimulate circulation and encourage the body to absorb the milk and frangipani blend.
Hot stones, bathed in Rosewood Essential Oil, are next placed intuitively on the main centering Chakra points of the body. The body is then covered in a sarong and either cocooned in a comforting foil wrap, or suspended weightless in the unique dry float; mind and body are now in a state of pure relaxation.
Whilst the body basks in the ritual and soaks up the goodness off the nourishing milk and oils, the face and eyes are cleansed with Elemis Skin Nourishing Milk Bath using prayer-like movements to remove impurities. A warm Rosewood infused compress is then gently rolled over the face to increase circulation and helps encourage the absorption of Exotic Frangipani Monoi Oil, applied using gentle massage techniques.
A neck and shoulder massage is then performed by the therapist with effleurage (smooth) and shiatsu stones, using a variation of massage movements including Swedish, Eastern, Tui Na and Balinese. To close the treatment, an exotic scalp massage is performed using the Exotic Frangipani Oil.
After showering, Exotic Island Flower Body Balm is applied all over the body to condition the skin and a layer of Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask is applied to the face leaving the skin nourished and rejuvenated.
Set in its own ample grounds of landscaped gardens on the island, looking out over a 300-metre stretch of sandy beach, Le Meridien Limassol Spa and Resort boasts the only spa on the island - the outstanding ‘Le Spa’. A unique thalassotherapy spa, it is the only one of its kind in the Eastern Mediterranean with a sea oil pool, free-form freshwater lagoons with cascading waterfalls and grottoes, thermal and mineral pools with jet massage, domed hammam with a coloured glass roof, and 32 treatment rooms including 12 Elemis rooms.
Le Spa Journey of the Senses will compliment the myriad à la carte treatments which are on offer as well as one, two, three and seven-day pre-planned programmes. Prices range from £35 for an Elemis Sole Delight Foot treatment that lasts 25 minutes which promises to deliver a sensory experience to your feet guaranteed to leave you walking on cloud nine, to £320 for a pre-planned three day ‘Revitalise yourself for her or him’.
