Wyndham and Viva join forces

Marketplace unveiled many improvements and upgrades from the major hotels in the Caribbean. Wyndham improvements include the addition of 37 new bedroom (ranging from 1-3 rooms), units at Las Casitas in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. This brings the total number of units to 156.As popularity swells at the ex-naval base resort of Vieques, Wyndham will offer complementary transfers from the mainland.Bigger news included the hotel firm joining forces with Viva Resorts’ seven all-inclusive properties in the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.“This venture will be very positive for us in attracting more US clients.” Said Ettore Colussi, president of Viva resorts. Rich Cortese, executive vice president of Wyndham resorts also spoke very highly of the move, quoting that it would give Wyndham a “leg up,” in the all-inclusive marketplace.
