Barbados predicts growth in 2004

The Barbados tourism industry is predicted to flourish further this year -so predicts Minister of Tourism, Noel Lynch. The sector creates in the region of half a billion dollars for the island nations economy - and is expected be further assisted this year with a financial aid package that the authority has implemented for airlift to the Caribbean island.

The respect Mr. Lynch foresees that the lack of international conflict this year and recovery from natural disaster will enable Barbados to create a more dynamic business model - Mr. Lynch has dubbed the new incentive as the ‘Barbados Model’ -  a strategy aimed at increasing budget and revenue in the tourism sector.
