Ocean Properties Ltd. has named Guest-Tek as its preferred provider of high-speed Internet access.

Marriott, Hilton, and Intercontinental Hotels Group are among the leading brands operated by Ocean Properties throughout the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. 
“Guest-Tek already has a proven track record in providing our hotels with exceptional broadband solutions tailored to meet their diverse infrastructure needs. That track record makes Guest-Tek an ideal fit as our preferred provider,” says Bill Burckhard, manager of technical services for Ocean Properties. Guest-Tek’s GlobalSuite? solutions include wired, wireless, and combined wired/wireless configurations. Regardless of the configuration, hoteliers have full control in deciding how they wish to offer high-speed (complimentary or for a charge) and retain 100% of any broadband revenue.

Usage rates for GlobalSuite indicate the service has been tremendously successful. Among the seven hotels managed by Ocean Properties that already offer the solution, six have recorded usage rates of 10% or higher for the month of November, including one hotel with an average rate of 27%.

Guest-Tek Chief Executive Officer Paul Sullivan says that Ocean Properties, like Guest-Tek, recognizes the demand for technology solutions that can help travelers be more productive on the road.
