May 2004 will see the launch a second RIU hotel - The ClubHotel RIU Negril. This newly developed upscale hotel, featuring 420 guestrooms, will be located next to the RIU Tropical Bay.RIU’s superior leisure offer in Jamaica has already received numerous international awards.  This latest beachfront property will offer a first-class all-inclusive plan with a “Wellness” center and an array of sports to choose from on-site.The variety of sports and entertainment on offer are characteristic of the ClubHotel product line, which combines these activities with the comfort and high-quality service typical of RIU Hotels and Resorts.ClubHotel will also offer a wide range of restaurant facilities including an “A La Carte” restaurant, a pizzeria with outdoor terrace and a grill restaurant.RIU opened its first hotel in Jamaica, the RIU Tropical Bay, in March 2001.  Now, with the planned opening of the new ClubHotel, the company has invested a total of $120 million in Jamaica and will have created 700 new jobs on completion of the new development.
