Travelink Announces Deal with Taber Holidays

Specialist tour operator Taber Holidays has signed a five year technology deal with tour operator systems provider Travelink
. The family-run business will use the Travelink system to market itself in new ways to its customers - ABTA travel agents and direct call centre customers buying holidays in Norway, Germany and Iceland.
Taber Holidays managing director, Suzel Taber-Shaw explains that after 13 years with the old systems provider, switching systems was a major step change for the company.

“Moving away from the previous non-Windows based format was a significant move, both in terms of technology and our company culture. However, the Travelink system proved so straightforward - from the initial installation and training to day-to-day use - that it didn’t take long to see the potential benefits.  This will revolutionise the information we are able to get on our customers, and how we keep in touch and sell holidays to them.”

The deal will most significantly affect the company’s reporting and direct mail approaches.

David Jones, managing director of Travelink, said: “This was a significant move forward for Taber Holidays, changing not only the way the company works from day to day but also its longer-term relationships with customers.  It’s all part of our aim to open up new opportunities for tour operators.”
