Fran Drescher (left), and Danny Huston (right) - son of John Huston, along with Mexican film personalities, turned out in Puerto Vallarta over Thanksgiving weekend to pay homage to late director John Huston who filmed ‘Night of the Iguana’ there 40 years ago. The film starred Ava Gardner, Richard Burton, and Deborah Kerr, turning the then sleepy fishing village into today’s international hot spot. The eight-day ‘Homage to John Huston’ culminated with a gala event on November 29, 2003. The First Annual Puerto Vallarta Film Festival of the Americas, slated for mid-November 2004, will present the John Huston Maverick Award for best film.
