Travelocity was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in PA in the medium-sized companies category. The award program, created in 2000, is the first of its kind offered by a state. This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.
“Since our opening in 2001, we have worked hard to create an environment that provides our employees room for personal and professional growth,” said Demi Xidas, general manager, Travelocity PA. “We feel that maintaining a good balance of the two allows our employees to better serve their families as well as our customers.”

Travelocity’s Pennsylvania facility opened in September 2001 and is dedicated to sales and customer care. It has experienced steady growth since its opening and currently employs over 250 people at this facility. Travelocity is located at 22 South River Street in Plains, Penn. and anticipates steady growth into 2004.

Travelocity will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in PA evening awards ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center, during which the rankings will be revealed.
