Travelocity and Marriott Reach Merchant Hotel Agreement

Travelocity customers will now have three new ways to book Marriott
International, Inc. hotels. As a result of the agreement between Marriott
International and Travelocity, customers can book Marriott’s brands via
Travelocity’s merchant hotel program and two package shopping engines—
Travelocity TotalTrip(SM) flight + hotel and Travelocity Last Minute Deals.
The agreement allows Travelocity’s customers more flexibility when
planning stays at Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts,
Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn,
TownePlace Suites and SpringHill Suites.

“We are extremely pleased to announce this agreement with Travelocity that
will give customers more opportunity to book Marriott hotel rooms,” said
Bruce Wolff, senior vice president, distribution sales and marketing,
Marriott International. “It has been our long-standing philosophy to sell
the way the customer wants to buy, and now customers who book through
Travelocity will have access to the same publicly available rates offered
through Marriott channels.”

Travelocity CEO Sam Gilliland said on the deal: “We are very excited to be
the first major online travel site to have added Marriott International to
its merchant hotel program. Adding its inventory, not only to our
guaranteed low price hotel offerings, but also to Travelocity TotalTrip
and Last Minute Deals, will translate into even more choice, more
flexibility and more cost savings for our mutual customers. We look
forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship with Marriott
International.”
