Amadeus, yesterday officially opened its new office in Hong Kong, which was attended by key local and international travel agents, airlines, and industry leaders.
David Brett, President, Amadeus Asia Pacific, said, “We are pleased to have received such strong support from the travel industry in the territory. Hong Kong is an important market in the region, and a key component of our strategy to develop an integrated Greater China offering for both agents and airlines.”

Amadeus Hong Kong Ltd. joins seven fully integrated offices currently serving Greater China, including Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai in China, as well as Kaohsiung, Taichung, Taipei, and Taoyuan in Taiwan. Established in August 2003, and staffed by a team of eleven highly experienced professionals, Amadeus Hong Kong Ltd. is Amadeus Global Travel Distribution’s new wholly owned National Marketing Company for Hong Kong and Macau.
Amadeus is Asia Pacific’s largest and fastest growing travel reservations system, based on number of bookings and geographic coverage. Amadeus has a market share of around 32% of the approximately 120 million bookings generated in the region, and a presence in 32 countries and territories. Amadeus is also investing more in Asia Pacific than any other Global Travel Distribution system, and has around 700 staff in the region.
