, Asia Pacific’s leading travel facilitator, and ZUJI, Asia Pacific’s leading regional online travel portal, have teamed-up to create a new hotel booking solution to be made available to travellers using ZUJI for accommodation bookings beginning this month.
The Abacus technology platform allows ZUJI to present a much broader range of accommodation options across global destinations. It also enables ZUJI to deliver differentiated products and pricing to its multiple markets across Asia Pacific.
“Abacus has provided ZUJI with a hotel technology platform which enables a new and improved service for ZUJI customers. The solution is part of Abacus’ commitment to providing travel retailers with tools to make travel planning as convenient and fuss-free as possible for travellers,” said Mr Toby March, Vice President, Travel Extensions (Hotels and Cars) at Abacus International.
The Abacus solution provides ZUJI with the ability to integrate multiple sources of content from multiple channels including GDS, CRS and other major third-party booking engines. In the first stage, ZUJI will be distributing GDS and Asia/Pacific merchant content from Abacus and worldwide content from WorldRes in a single customised display.
Abacus was able to leverage ZUJI’s existing hotel booking user interface, secure payment gateway and professional customer service infrastructure to be able to rapidly roll-out the first phase of the new ZUJI ‘Hotel Guru’ product across all English language sites. The hotel product now delivers ZUJI customers real-time availability confirmation and an online booking facility across a wide range of properties.
“Through ZUJI, travellers have access to the best rates at the best hotels with guaranteed inventory availability at a broad range of popular destinations. The intuitive booking path and simple reservation process makes for an easy shopping experience,” said Martin Symes, Executive Director, Commercial at ZUJI.
Abacus has worked closely with ZUJI as its GDS provider since it launched in 2002. This new hotel technology platform has been jointly developed using the combined resources of dedicated professional teams and state of the art technology.
“Additionally, the Abacus technology allows ZUJI to provide detailed information about each property in a consumer-friendly format. We’ve appropriately named the ZUJI accommodation search service ‘Hotel Guru’,” concluded Mr Symes.
