International Confex 2004 launch Travel Management Service

International Confex 2004 has announced a dedicated travel management
service for exhibitors and visitors to next year’s show.

A travel hotline and web-based travel service is being established and
promoted on all exhibition literature.  Both will provide up-to-date travel
information and the facility to book travel and accommodation over the phone
or via the web.

The service will be managed by
who will be the first
point of contact for all enquiries and handle the travel element, whilst
Res-O-Tel will look after the accommodation aspect of the service.  Both
companies are working closely together to negotiate group bookings and
special rates with airlines, train and coach companies, car hire firms and
hotels.  They will recommend the best routes, give a minimum of three quotes
and then deal with all the bookings.

Jessica Blue, event manager of International Confex said “the travel
management facility is part of the package offered with next year’s VIP
programme, which will provide seamless customer services to nominated
guests, exhibitor and visitors.  We also want to simplify the journey for
those travelling to the exhibition from outside London and the South East.”

Peter Drucker, managing director of Res-O-Tel said “Res-O-Tel is proud to be
the leading provider of accommodation to the exhibition industry and, in
particular, the officially appointed hotel booking agency for International
Confex 2004. With a thorough understanding of the exhibition industry we
work closely with CMP Information to provide exhibitors, visitors, and media
alike with a service that is customised to their individual needs.”

Res-O-Tel has produced a comprehensive booking form for inclusion in the
Confex Exhibitor Manual and mailings. A link to the Res-O-Tel website
offering hotel and price information will be available on the International
Confex 2004 website (
