Priceline Vacations Adds All-Inclusive Resorts

Priceline.com
has announced expansions in two of its fastest-growing travel
services. Priceline.com’s hotel reservation service announced that it
has added several new international destinations, including Australia,
Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea and Taiwan. And
priceline.com’s packaged vacations service announced the addition of
all-inclusive resorts and said that it has achieved a milestone of
over 1,700 properties now participating in its packaged vacations
service. Hotel rooms and packaged vacations are two of priceline.com’s
fastest-growing travel products. Recently, priceline.com reported that
it sold a record 1.5 million hotel room nights in the 2nd quarter - a
38 percent year-over-year increase and a growth of 270,000 room nights
over the 1st quarter 2003. Priceline.com’s unit sales of packaged
vacations (which include airfare and hotel) during the 2nd quarter
grew by more than 100 percent over the same period a year ago.
“Priceline.com’s hotel and vacation services have struck a chord
with the market and we’re pleased to further expand these product
offerings for our customers,” said priceline.com President and CEO
Jeffery H. Boyd

finding that priceline.com can deliver significant savings over the
other major online travel reservation services.”
