, the UK’s leading longhaul operator, was last night voted ‘Britain’s Best Longhaul Tour Operator’ for the 21st consecutive year, an unparalleled achievement, at the Travel Weekly Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.
In addition the operator scooped a second prestigious Golden Globe, the travel industry’s premier awards as voted for by travel agents, the title of UK’s Best Website in the travel industry for www.kuoni.co.uk. The site is fully bookable and features over 2500 pages to build and tailor your own holiday.
Sue Biggs, Managing Director commented, “We’re all over the moon to have received both these awards and are delighted that the mutual support and close working relationship between travel agents and Kuoni, provides the very best service for our clients. I cannot think of any other organisation in any industry, anywhere in the world that can lay claim to have been independently voted the best for 21 consecutive years. The award is testament to our ability to move with the times, demonstrate flexibility and keep a finger on the longhaul travellers’ pulse in a very competitive market. To say we are absolutely delighted is putting it mildly.”
The award is even more special because it coincides with Sue Biggs’ twenty first year working at Kuoni, having started as a Product Executive in 1983. She is now Managing Director and is not only the first non-Swiss member of the Management Board for the Kuoni Group but also the first woman.
