Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, announced that it has reached a management agreement with Richmond Hotel Private Limited, an associate company of City Developments Limited, to manage The St. Regis Singapore, the third St. Regis property in Asia.
The hotel, which will set a new standard of luxury in Singapore, is scheduled to open in 2007.

Designed to capitalize on the extraordinary reputation of the 1904 Beaux Arts classic The St. Regis New York, the St. Regis brand is the first new luxury hotel brand in nearly 20 years and continues to rapidly expand. The St. Regis Singapore is the second new St. Regis project announced in less than a week.
On November 20th, the company also announced plans to launch a new luxury resort and residential project in Anguilla. Temenos Anguilla, a St. Regis Retreat, will debut in 2006 as a leisure extension of the brand. New St. Regis hotels are also currently under development in San Francisco, CA and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. There are 11 St. Regis hotels today in Los Angeles, Aspen, Shanghai, Beijing, Houston, London, Rome, Washington, D.C., and Dana Point, California. Each is unique to its surroundings, and each offers guests a high level of customized service.

The St. Regis Singapore will be developed on a 180,000 square foot site in the heart of Singapore`s uptown Orchard Road shopping and entertainment district. This will be an integrated property complex comprising hotel, apartments and service apartments.
Following in the tradition of the legendary St. Regis New York, The St. Regis Singapore will feature the famed hallmarks of St. Regis hotels - butler service and luxury accommodation for worldly travelers.
