Nemacolin Woodlands Breaks Ground For New Hotel/Clubhouse, Falling Rock

Joseph A. Hardy, Sr. and Maggie Hardy Magerko, owners of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa and 84 Lumber Company, have announced that on Monday, September 22, 2003, the day after the 84 Lumber Classic, the resort broke ground for Falling Rock.
Falling Rock, to be situated on the 18th green of the Mystic Rock golf course, will open in August 2004.  It will be a full service hotel, clubhouse and pro-shop featuring 42 guestrooms and suites, butler service, an executive boardroom, full service men’s and ladies’ locker facilities, a dining room and lounge with an adjacent patio, an outdoor pool, and high speed data technology.
“For those who demand excellence, Falling Rock will enhance Nemacolin Woodlands, where excellence is a tradition.  The facility will represent the most significant new golf accommodations since the Inn at Spanish Bay in the 1980’s and The Lodge at the Cloister in the 1990’s.  Guests will be pampered with incredible personal attention to detail and the highest level of service,” commented Ron Cadrette, General Manager of Nemacolin Woodlands.
A Frank Lloyd Wright inspired design; Falling Rock epitomizes a seamless blend of natural materials, superb craftsmanship, incredible comfort and exceptional luxury.
Surrounded by two magnificent golf courses, the Pete Dye designed Mystic Rock (home of the 84 Lumber Classic, a PGA TOUR event) and the resort’s original course, The Links, this luxurious hotel is the golfing centerpiece at Nemacolin Woodlands.
With the new John Daly Learning Center, the resort, which is already ranked as “One of the Top Ten Golf Resorts” by Conde Nast Traveler, will be the distinct favorite among golf enthusiasts everywhere.
In addition to experiencing exceptional golf, guests at the Falling Rock will also be able to enjoy the acclaimed Woodlands Spa, sporting clays, ropes course, climbing wall, the Hummer Driving Club, trail rides, fly fishing, and all of the other exciting amenities that make guests at Nemacolin Woodlands return again and again.
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa is one of North America’s premier resort destinations, with 295 luxurious guestrooms, suites, townhouses, and private luxury homes.
