Le Kalon - The Bentley’s Luxurious Spa

Le Kalon is Greek for å“beauty that is more than skin deepå” and that in essence is the philosophy of The Bentleyå‘s spa.
Sarah Holdsworth, Le Kalon’s manager, has trained and qualified in all areas of beauty therapy including massage and aromatherapy, she is a Reiki practitioner as well as an expert in Indian head massage.
Having gained experience in large commercial companies she moved toward a more holistic environment and now practices an alternative approach to beauty therapy for mind, body and spirit.
Sarah will work alongside Lulu Katrivesis, who specialises in treatments with a more eastern influence.
They make an excellent team as both therapists have learned through working with the terminally ill, the importance of the healing aspect of touch yet their experience at The Berkeley and the Dorchester’s spas will be invaluable, as they understand the extra demands required by an exacting clientele who travel internationally.
Yon-Ka has been selected for face and body treatments as their products are based on essential oils, plant extracts and sea minerals.
Indonesian Secrets will be used for a variety of treatments.  This range of exotic spa treatments and authentic Indonesian therapeutic products honour the ancient Asian rituals of healing and revitalization of the body.
Incorporated within the ladies and gentlemen’s changing rooms are saunas, but undoubtedly, it will be the Hamam that will attract the most attention.
The Bentley is the only London hotel to have a full sized Hamam.  This marble clad Turkish bath, complete with lion heads as water faucets, is based on ancient cleansing rituals.
Guests sit within the steamy environment, whilst their muscles are warmed and their skin softens in preparation for the “ceser” with a Turkish mitt which will be carried out on the marble “table” inside the Hamam, as will the body polish and a short massage prior to a period of relaxation on the chaise longues outside.
A healthy array of fruit juices and smoothies will be available in the relaxation area as well as a menu of natural and organic dishes.
There will be ladies only and gentlemen only sessions, as well as the opportunity to book the Hamam for private bookings, such as for a couple on St. Valentine’s Day or perhaps a pre-wedding hen party.
