SçMAS At The Park Hotel Kenmare

Since opening in 1897 the Park Hotel Kenmare has attracted many accolades for its service and standards.
In Early November it will open the doors to SçMAS, Ireland’s first Deluxe Destination Spa, a dedicated facility destined to ensure the Hotel’s future at the top of the international market.
In researching the spa market worldwide John and Francis Brennan realised Ireland had no dedicated Destination Spa of world standing.
Wishing to provide the ultimate spa experience they enlisted the services of E’SPA, the renowned spa consultants who were responsible for the spas in Sandy Lane, Burj Al Arab in Dubai and Mandarin Oriental hotels in London and Miami.
Dublin Architects Oppermann Associates were also employed for their clean lines and preference for natural materials.
The 10’000 Sq Ft development has a budget of €5m and features separate Male and Female Spas, Couples Day Suites with Private Garden and Pool, Tai-Chi Pavilion, Beauty Room, Fitness Suite and the Lost Garden of SçMAS for reading and Tai-Chi.
In addition the building is nestled in a little wood adjoining the hotel.  2300 cubic meters of rock were removed to facilitate the six treatment rooms.
Each treatment room is built to recording studio standards and features fibre optic lighting and indoor shower gardens.
Each Spa has a selection of Heat Experiences and glass walled Relaxation Rooms with day beds made from the Olive Ash tree that once graced the site.
To fully blend with its surroundings SçMAS has a grass roof and stonewalls using the stone from the excavation.
To fully appreciate the unique facilities and location Park Hotel Kenmare, have created lifeStyle ProgrAmmes that encompass the elegance of the Hotel, the indulgence of SçMAS and the freshness of the surrounding countryside.
