Kempinski Spa Update in Switzerland

Kempinski Hotels & Resorts, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel management group, recently added two properties in Switzerland to its growing portfolio.  Kempinski’s group headquarters are in Geneva and the two hotels offer exceptional health and wellness facilities in different but equally spectacular locations - Lake Geneva and St Moritz.
Le Mirador Kempinski is located above Lake Geneva at an altitude of 800 meters (2,000ft) between Montreux and Vevey, with panoramic views over the lake, Rhone Valley and the Alps. The hotel has 81 rooms and suites, all recently refurbished to the most modern of standards.  Le Trianon has been awarded a Michelin star for its French and regional cuisine, while more casual dining options include Le Patio (Mediterranean cuisine) and Au Chalet (Swiss specialities).

Le Mirador Kempinski opened the only Givenchy Spa in Switzerland from April 1st.  The array of Givenchy treatments will revolve around nine elaborate massages while Signature treatments will be the Canyon Love Stone Therapy, a massage using rounded stones from western America rivers and the Four-hand Ylang Ylang massage, wrapping you in the magic scents of the Ylang-Ylang flower, believed to be beneficial for body and soul by the elders of Mauritius where it originated. With over 20 years of spa experience, Le Mirador Kempinski is one of the few spas to offer cabins with daylight and uniquely the view over Lake Geneva and the Alps (10 rooms).

The luxurious Kempinski Grand H™tel des Bains spoils guests with the most extensive Spa and Wellness Centre in St Moritz, complete with beautiful views over the mountains.  Comprising 1,500 square metres, lavish facilities include a futuristic metallic indoor swimming pool, fitness studio and gymnasium, steam room, sauna, sanarium (sauna with coloured lights to combat SAD syndrome), relaxation rooms and a separate spa area for ladies with its own steam room, sanarium and aroma-cabin.
Spa suites complement facilities to offer long-stay guests and those wishing complete privacy to stay within the complex while enjoying the same exacting levels of Kempinski service.

Floor to ceiling windows frame the swimming pool with its 30 degrees Celsius warm water and low lighting. The fitness area offers state of the art cardio-vascular equipment including steppers, cycles and jogging machines.  Weight machines, from American firm Keiser, with push-button control of weigh intensity - offer an alternative work-out.  Personal trainers are available with charges between CHF 70 and CHF 120 depending on the length of the instruction.  The Kempinski Spa offers anti-stress massage, reflexology, acupuncture, lymph-drainage, manicures, pedicures, hair removals and facials using products by Maria Galland from Paris.

An outside sauna, a Jacuzzi as well as an Ayurvedic centre are planned for next year.
