Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, the celebrated health resort in Lenox, Massachusetts, has been acclaimed for excellence by readers of prestigious travel and lifestyle magazines in the USA - Cond̩ Nast Traveler and Departures.

Readers of Condé Nast Traveler once again named Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires ‘Best Spa’ in the magazine’s 2003 Reader’s Choice Awards poll. This is the sixth time that Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires has received the top honor. The property was named Best Spa in 1991, 1994, 1995, 1998, 2002, and now 2003. The destination was recognised for its staff, treatments, programme facilities, cuisine, rooms and location,.

Departures magazine, a luxury lifestyle title published exclusively for American Express Platinum and Centurion Card members, has featured the first-ever Reader’s Favourite Survey. Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires was selected ‘Best Luxury Resort’ in U.S. and Canada. More than 50,000 readers responded to the survey which asked them to select favorite big city hotel; boutique hotel; country hotel; luxury resort; ski lodge; beach hotel; domestic and international airlines; and cruise lines. Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires received the highest score of any hotel or resort listed in the survey.

Mel and Enid Zuckerman founded the original Canyon Ranch Health Resort in Tucson, Arizona in 1979. Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires Health Resort opened in Lenox, Massachusetts in 1989. Canyon Ranch SpaClub, a 65,000 sq-ft health spa, wellness and fitness facility, opened at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1999. In 2001, Canyon Ranch announced its operation and design of a Canyon Ranch SpaClub facility on board the Queen Mary II. In 2002, Canyon Ranch opened a SpaClub facility at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida.
