Jumeirah International has announced the appointment of Andrew Abram as General Manager, Operations, based in Dubai, and Derek Picot as Regional General Manager for Jumeirah International at The Carlton Tower Hotel in London.

Currently General Manager of The Carlton Tower, Abram will continue to work for Jumeirah International in his new role. Key areas of responsibility will be to focus on the ongoing strategic development of the brand and to implement the various quality measurement tools that are currently being launched within the company.
“These areas represent important foundation stones for the continued development and expansion of Jumeirah International as one of the world`s leading hotel and hospitality organisations.” The company stated.
Derek Picot will succeed as Regional General Manager for Jumeirah International at The Carlton Tower Hotel in London. Picot has worked internationally with various appointments in Asia, Canada and Australia, managing some of the world`s best known hotels. He was most recently responsible for Meridien`s London Café Royal and Piccadilly Hotel.
The Peak Health Club & Spa, situated on the ninth floor of the famous tower, is renowned for its spectacular views across the London skyline. The club features a unique 20m indoor swimming pool constructed in contemporary stainless steel. Together with a whirlpool bath, sauna and steam rooms, there are also spa therapy rooms and wet treatment areas for mud and salt scrubs. The five star Carlton Tower, situated in Knightsbridge, is one of London`s best-located hotels, and also provides tennis, private gardens and horse riding in Hyde Park. The property has been managed and run by Jumeirah International since December 2001.
