Sonesta Spa at Key Biscayne Unveils New Signature Treatment

10th Jul 2003

Sonesta Beach Resort Key Biscayne, Florida, has created a signature treatment, called the Amarillo Infusion. Exclusive to Sonesta, the Amarillo Infusion is a 90-minute experience of the power of yellow, the colour which represents spirituality, intelligence and inner strength, and symbolises self esteem, confidence and inner balance.

The treatment begins with a gentle massage using Sonesta`s exclusive Amarillo Infusion massage oil, then continues with a gentle exfoliation with sea salts under a relaxing rain-like shower. The body is then immersed in a gentle Chamomile Bath, infused with seasonal yellow flowers, and loosely wrapped during the final foot, hand and scalp massage. Special beverages, such as homemade lemonade and ginger lemon tea, are also served.

The Sonesta Beach Resort Spa, Key Biscayne, a 10,000 sq-ft full-service facility, offers both classic European and cutting-edge health and beauty treatments. Created by Miami Beach-based design firm Patrick Kennedy, Inc., the new décor features a mix of stark white and pastel hues with sleek furnishings.

In addition to Amarillo Infusion, The Spa offers classic treatments such as traditional European Kurs, based on the centuries-old custom of utilising thermal mineral water, nutrient-rich algae, and essential oils to remineralise, nourish, and balance the body; healing Krauter Baths; and cutting edge treatments such as Reiki, reflexology; together with a variety of massages, Vichy, and hydrotherapy services.

Other amenities at the award-winning 300-room Sonesta Beach Resort include eight treatment rooms with hydrotherapy room; state-of-the-art fitness centre; his and her locker rooms with steam and sauna; relaxation lounge; beauty salon; retail boutique; outdoor, heated Olympic-size pool and Jacuzzi.
