Wheway Lifestyle International (WLI) has won a ten-year management contract to operate a brand new 1,200 sq-m spa in the DÌ©nia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort and Spa on Spainå‘s Valencian coast. This, the first Alanya Spa, marks the creation of a brand new concept from spa guruå‘s Allan and Tanya Wheway.

The Alanya Spa set within the five-star Dénia Marriott Resort has been created by husband and wife team Tanya and Allan Wheway -  who were responsible for developing the internationally renowned Champneys Group and one of the world’s most successful Day Spas, The Sanctuary - Covent Garden. They were also the creators of Thailand’s award winning destination spa, Chiva-Som.

The Marriott Resort, opened in March 2003, has 184 guest rooms and suites, with facilities that include an 18-hole golf course, developing to 27 holes, outdoor leisure pools, two restaurants, a 4,000 sq ft ballroom plus a Jazz and Blues Bar. A Casino and tennis courts will open later this year and a Beach Club is planned to open this summer, which will be for the exclusive use of the resort guests and spa members. Marriott Vacation Club will form part of this resort estate including 166 apartments, pools and other leisure facilities.

The Alanya Spa Facilities Include :

Eight Multi-functional Therapy Rooms - with a wide range of face and body treatments from the East and West for both men and women. Products will focus on the marine-based Thalgo range, plus plant and essential oil-based Decleor, together with Ytsara from Thailand

Hydrotherapy Bath - including underwater massage

Dry Float - combining a variety of body wraps with sublime relaxation and pampering

Floatation Tank - for deep relaxation or lifestyle programming

VichyTherm - used for a wide range of face and body treatments including aromatherapy, reflexology, body wraps, oriental therapies and health and lifestyle consultations and services

Tranquility Room - to nurture all the senses

Male and Female Locker Rooms - each with an integrated sauna

Grooming Studio - including hairdressing, manicure and pedicure service

Spa Experience - offering sequential bio-thermal bathing featuring:
Hydrotherapy Pool, Caldarium, Laconium, Crystal Thermarium, Experience Showers

Rasul - for exotic mud bathing which can be shared with a partner, friends or family

Gymnasium - with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment

Mind Body Spirit Studio - offering a wide a range of activities covering subjects from Tai Chi to beauty demonstrations, stress management lectures and dance classes

Club Lounge - with adjoining terrace linking to the Aromatic Spa Garden enabling guests and members to take full advantage of the Costa Blanca climate

Spa Boutique - providing health and beauty products with professional advice, health, lifestyle, education tools and gifts

Aromatic Spa Garden/b> - with spectacular views of wooded hills, dramatic mountains, the golf course and a whirlpool
