Liz Evans has been appointed spa manager of the newly opened å£700,000 health spa suite at Celtic Haven in Tenby.
Evans, 26, from Pencoed in Carmarthenshire, will head up a team of complementary and beauty therapists who have also been recently appointed at the five star spa.
She joins Celtic Haven from Ragdale Hall in Leicestershire, one of the UK’s top health hydros. During her five years there, Evans worked to the position of supervisor where she was responsible for 120 therapists, together with looking after high profile clients including many celebrities.
Evans qualified in beauty therapy in 1998, passing her exams two months ahead of schedule. She achieved student of the year for Dermalogica in 1998 and Pembrokeshire hair and beauty student of the year in 1999.
Talking of her appointment, Evans said, “When I saw the position advertised, I simply couldn’t resist! It provided me with the perfect opportunity to continue working at the top end of the marking, providing clients with five star luxury spa treatments, while enabling me to move closer to home.”
The five star holiday village, Celtic Haven, has undergone a £1 million redevelopment programme which has included the creation of the new luxury marine health spa suite. Other developments include a £200,000 golf academy with £50,000 indoor golf simulator and state-of-the-art conference facilities.
