Wheway Lifestyle International Announces New Spa Brand
The founders and principals of Wheway Lifestyle International Limited (WLI), Tanya and Allan Wheway, are in the process of launching a new small, exclusive spa brand - Alanya Spas. The Alanya brand will only be used for spas managed by WLI so that it can completely control the spa concept and philosophy, the operating standards, the brand image and its continuing evolvement and development.
The first, the Alanya Spa - Denia, opened this month in Spain, an hour south of Valencia between the towns of Denia and Javier. The spa has a prime site within the new five-star Marriott Golf Resort.
The second Alanya Spa is scheduled to open Autumn 2003 in Morocco within the L’Amphitrite Palace, a beachside hotel located between Casablanca and Rabat, operated by Starwood Luxury Collection.
WLI has a 10-year management contract with the owner of the Denia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort and Spa, and a five-year management contract with the owners of the Moroccan Spa. Both spas offer extensive facilities, unique therapies, beautiful designs and exceptionally high standards. They will cater for resort guests, day spa guests and offer an exclusive membership.
Allan Wheway comments; “Alanya Spa’s will operate with a totally holistic approach to wellbeing, focusing on nurturing all the senses of each individual guest helping them to feel valued, pampered, relaxed and revitalized. With WLI’s extensive work around the globe they are able to select from the best that the East and West have to offer, embracing the latest spa thinking and positive health knowledge together with ancient wisdom, teaching and therapies providing their guests with both pleasurable experiences and effective long term benefits and results through their comprehensive wellbeing programmes.”
The Wheways have been spa owners, operators and consultants over 30 years, operating at the premier end of the market. During this time they developed the Champneys Group over a period of 18 years, establishing it as a brand leader in international destination spas. For four years were owners and operators of the Sanctuary Spa Group, which included one of the worlds largest and most successful day spas, The Sanctuary - Covent Garden, London.
