Turnberry Isle Resort & Club to Provide Spa Education

Turnberry Isle Resort & Club has partnered with the Florida College of Natural Health to provide continued education classes and advanced workshops in massage therapy, skin care, and spa management. This innovative educational programme will be available at least four times throughout the year and will offer students the flexibility to arrange their course schedule to suit individual needs and attend different sections at another time throughout the year.

“Classes have been designed to offer the professional therapist a carefully constructed and rich curriculum which highlights hands-on instruction and are scheduled at times not likely to interfere with other commitments,” said Tammy Pahel, Spa Director at Turnberry Isle. “For example, our massage therapists’ classes will run for 30 weeks, Monday through Thursday and will be offered from 6:30p.m. to 10:30p.m.
“We are truly excited to be partners with the Florida College of Natural Health in these innovative programmes. The response and feedback that we’ve received thus far for the courses has been extremely positive and very encouraging,” said Pahel. “We are delighted to be the first in the country to offer this educational opportunity to those interested in therapy, healing and spa management.”

Some of the course highlights in massage and facial treatments will include full instruction in many of the international services and rituals, which are offered at The Spa at Turnberry Isle. Pahel added that in many of these therapies Turnberry Isle is one of a handful of spas to offer these exotic treatments.
