The Revive Spa Experience to Open at J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort

Ridge Resort & Spa is set to launch a state-of-the-art, 28,000 sq-ft, two-level Revive Spa. Complete with 41 treatment rooms, the spa has been spectacularly designed with a central water feature that flows directly underneath the open skylight two floors above, capturing a unique earth-to-sky connection and enhancing the entire spa space. This is Marriottå‘s first Revive Spa.

J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa is the largest and newest luxury resort in Arizona. The Southwestern design theme of the spa celebrates the resort’s unique setting and features a two-story rotunda. Wrought-iron banisters, fiery copper, and tactile stone blend together to highlight the elements of fire, water, earth and sky in this lush desert sanctum.

Revive Spa offers a diverse menu of spa experiences that incorporate tranquil settings and indigenous flora and fauna into signature treatments where ancient rituals combine with cutting-edge techniques. Treatments run the spa spectrum from Swedish massages and facials to innovative body treatments as an Avocado Lime Wrap, which works to incorporate lymphatic movement, cellulite removal and hydration of the skin; and a Blackberry Scrub, which serves as a natural exfoliate that cleanses and nourishes the body.

Another unique treatment to be found among the spa’s signature services is the Facial Spa Kur, using products by world-renowned Kerstin Florian. The progressive skincare ritual incorporates rejuvenating, rehydrating and clarifying treatments to heal the harmful effects of stress, pollution and the environment. In addition, treatments like the Hiker’s Relief Experience, which utilises a Green Sea Clay Wrap to help soothe sore muscles after a desert trek, and the After Sun Treatment, where a Lavender and Tea Tree Aloe Wrap is used to cool the skin of over-ambitious sun worshippers, are all performed to focus on the needs of resort guests.

In addition to spa services, a spacious indoor fitness club with all the latest fitness equipment makes up another component of Revive Spa, focusing on strength training and cardiovascular workouts. Classes such as yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, stretching and water fitness are among the activities offered.
There are also regularly scheduled power walks around the resort grounds and through the Sonoran Desert. Revive Spa features an Olympic-size swimming pool lined with two rows of towering palms, nine private cabanas for relaxation, and Internet access for business as usual between treatments.

Spa-goers can also enjoy features such as private balconies, which provide the setting for luxury-outdoor massages; lounge area on the rooftop garden with a flowing water feature; outdoor celestial showers in the men’s and women’s dressing rooms; a full-service hair and beauty salon, plus The Spa Boutique.

Together with Marriott’s first ever Revive Spa, the largest and newest luxury resort in Arizona features 950 guestrooms (including 81 suites), 200,000 sq-ft of indoor and outdoor meeting space, ten dining experiences, eight tennis courts and four acres of elaborately landscaped pools, including the Lazy River with serpentine slide, two-championship golf courses and Wildfire Golf Club.
