Wyndham Announces Area Spa Director for Golden Door Spas

In recognition of Lorraine Park`s exemplary service as spa director at the AAA Five-Diamond Boulders Resort and Golden Door Spa, she has been promoted to Area Spa Director for Wyndham International, Inc. (AMEX:WBR). Park is now responsible for overseeing brand standards at Golden Door Spas and working closely with the original Golden Door in Escondido, California, developing turn-key programmes for the resort facilities. Park will continue in her current role with The Boulders. In addition, she will enhance spa standards overall at Wyndham properties in western America.

“Although open for less than two years, the Golden Door Spa, at The Boulders has already been recognised as among the best facilities in the country and has consistently exceeded expectations,” said Andrew Jordan, executive vice president of sales & marketing and chief marketing officer for Wyndham. “It is Lorraine`s management skills, knowledge of the industry and dedication that have brought this level of success to the facility, and we are thrilled to recognise her in this way while bettering all of our Golden Door Spas and Wyndham spas in the west.”

Park joined The Boulders during the pre-opening phase of the spa in 2001, bringing twelve years of hospitality experience to the position. Prior, she was the spa director at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix. Park is on the education committee of the International Spa Association and represents employers for the Ariz. Coalition for Massage Therapy.

The original, Wyndham-owned Golden Door in Escondido, Calif. is widely regarded as the most innovative and respected name in the spa industry, and its philosophy of physical and spiritual wellbeing is evident at three resort locations within Wyndham:The AAA Five-Diamond Boulders Resort & Golden Door Spa in Ariz., the Wyndham Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa in Colo., and the Wyndham El Conquistador Resort & Golden Door Spa in Puerto Rico, also home to AAA Five-Diamond Las Casitas Village.
