All spa specialists know that the skin is a living organ, made up of millions of cells. Everyday, thousands of cells die and are replaced by new cells from beneath the surface. However, this can be a slow process that does not allow the skin to shed dark spots, sun damage, or a dull, lifeless complexion. Spas Weekly takes a look at the latest development in facial peeling å- Easy Peel å- which is being hailed as a safe alternative to a surgical face-lift.
The purpose of a facial peel
To accelerate the even, controlled shedding of several layers of damaged cells, to leave a new fresh layer of skin, with a more even texture and colour. Chemical peeling is often used to treat fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth. Wrinkles caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors can often be reduced or even eliminated with this procedure. The procedure can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, arms and legs.
What makes Easy Peel so unique?
This is the most effective treatment for the above problems and there is no need for skin preparation. In combination with a special cream developed to treat various skin conditions and disorders Easy Peel gives the best results without being aggressive to the skin. Made up of ingredients such as Citric Acid and vitamin C, E and H, Easy Peel can be used on all skin types, from normal to greasy or thick and it can also be used safely and effectively on Black and Asian skin. The peel is non-aggressive, painless and leaves the skin feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
What results will be seen?
Results are almost immediate. After the peel is applied the patient will experience some mild heat as the treatment works. The first signs of “frosting” - a layer that is built up after the peel has worked upon the top layer of the skin will appear and the post-peel cream will then be used to stop any irritation.
After 30 minutes to an hour the skin will feel more taut and healthy. After three-five days the skin may start to flake a little and aftercare creams can be applied.
