In June 1973, Ragdale Hall first opened its doors as a health hydro and plans for next monthå‘s celebrations are well underway at one of Englandå‘s favourite destination spas.
Back in the seventies, the Victorian built Ragdale Hall was owned by Slimming Magazine and the company opened it as a Slimming Hydro.
Advertising at the time promised “Gentle jogging, exercise and yoga sessions, together with the clean fresh air of Leicestershire will act like a tonic and help you sleep like a baby!” And with a diet of only 500 calories per day, it was surprising there were any takers!
Oh how things have changed…
