The latest in Dermal filler injections, Juvederm 24, claims to offer the longest lasting, pain-free treatment available on the beauty market today. Lasting between eight to 12 months, the new Hyaluronic Injections have been developed to the most refined consistency, eliminating the usual problems associated with treatments of this type, but lasing three times longer than conventional fillers. Spas Weekly takes a closer look.
Juvederm 24 contains a highly refined form of Hyaluronic acid in injectable gel form for filling facial lines and wrinkles, enhancing the lips and correcting small facial scars and minor imperfections. Juvederm 24 is of non-animal origin, currently an important consideration for many, and requires no pre-test.
Constance Campion, Medical Aesthetic Practitioner and Partner at the Prestigious Award Plastic Surgery Practice at London’s Cromwell Hospital states; “I have used this product on my patients and I must say I really like the natural look that I can achieve for those who require their wrinkles erased. In lips there is a very little margin for error and as an advanced technique product; it’s out there at the top.”
How does Juvederm 24 Work?
The higher the concentration of Hyaluronic acid, the slower the treatment is cleared from the body. Juvedem is cross linked - the molecules are tightly bound to each other in order to make them more resistant. A non-cross linked Hyaluronic acid has a very short lifespan and will escape within days.
What does it contain?
Juvederm contains Hyaluronic acid, a synthetic version of the natural chemical in the body, which attracts water to the tissues below the skin. Eighty percent of the product injected is safely reabsorbed by the body and eventually disappears. Twenty percent stays in the tissues to give the longer lasting effect.
Juvederm is currently considered to be one of the most cost effective treatments for facial lines and wrinkles available today. Founded in 2000 in France, it has proved a successful spa alternative to other injectable treatments. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes, is painless and gives immediate results.
