Travelocity’s first-of-its-kind merchant hotel programme, launched just six months ago, now features more than 900 independently owned and operated hotels, bringing the total of merchant hotels participating in the programme to over 2,700.

Recent signings of several notable properties have further bolstered the industry’s leading programme, within the Travelocity innovation to hotel suppliers.

Recent additions to Travelocity’s merchant hotel programme include :

Desire Resort & Spa - a couples resort located on the Riviera Maya south of Cancun that opened on April 1, 2003.

Hotel Del Coronado - known for its appearance in the movie “Some Like it Hot,” the San Diego property is located on one of the most famous beaches in all of North America.

Gamboa Rainforest Lodge - located about 20 minutes outside of Panama City and just 10 minutes from the Panama Canal.

“The Hotel del Coronado looks to Travelocity to broaden our distribution reach,” said Tracie Heisterkamp, director of revenue management, Hotel Del Coronado. “We value our relationship as they are committed to ensuring the outcome of our relationship is mutually beneficial.”

“Independent properties play a tremendous role in the ongoing success of Travelocity’s merchant hotel programme,” said Michelle Peluso, COO Travelocity. “We will continue to value and foster these relationships as we add new partners to the programme.”
