New Development in Intense Pulse Light Technology

The latest hair removal system from Biotec has been given the thumbs-up with recommendations from dermatologists, GPs and celebrities.

Dr Antonio Ferrari, developer of the system says, “The new Dealight Hair Removal system has been developed using the latest Intense Pulsed Light technology. This new gentle, non-invasive, lasting solution to unwanted hair is more efficient than any other IPL treatment available due to additional components within the equipment. This machine treats a larger area at once, it has an inbuilt cooling system to eliminate redness and irritation and has a built in shield, to further protect the skin. It is faster and more effective that any other IPL treatment and can be used on the legs, face, back, bikini line or any other body area.”

According to reports, Dealight is the only IPL machine that is suitable for any colour of hair on most skin including Asian skins, (with the exception of very black skin). Side effects are very rare with this treatment. If the patient experiences slight reddening or swelling, this will disappear within hours. Dealight has been proven to create a permanent reduction of hair follicle after each treatment. The treatment also improves skin texture and pore size is diminished.

How does the treatment work?

Highly controlled flashes of light are selectively absorbed by hair follicles lying below the surface of the skin. The absorbed light heats the hairs, which damages or disables the follicle, without damaging the surrounding tissue. The skin will be cleansed with SprayMist, an antiseptic skin cleanser, followed by the Dealight hand piece, which will then send the pulses of light through the skin. Hair removal is immediate and the remaining hair will then fall out over the next week or two.  Pain is minimal and normal activity can be resumed immediately Treatment can be given as frequently as every two weeks.

What is the treatment programme?

The number of treatments required depends on the individual. A customised treatment programme will be designed to estimate the number of treatments needed for satisfying results. On average the treatment is undertaken five to eight times before the patient’s treated area is fully cleared and long lasting results are shown.
