The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Rose Hall has combined regional influences and local flavors to create signature services and specialty treatments where the å‘Land of Wood and Waterå’ comes to life at this indigenous Wellness Centre
Jamaica’s rich history, diverse culture and time-honored traditions are the fundamental elements behind the 8,000 sq-ft spa which now captures the lush, tropical environs of Jamaica at the Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall.
From its West Indies décor to the spice-infused scents present throughout the facility, all elements of this sophisticated spa have been strategically created to capture the island’s tropical feel while utilising its vast natural resources.
Whilst the natural mahogany wood furnishings and soft Caribbean colours featured are reflective of the destination’s mountainous countryside side and rich vegetation, there is now a variety of specialty regional products offered in conjunction with unique signature services that include:
The Sugarcane Body Scrub - this signature treatment represents Jamaica. Delicious Jamaican sugarcane and the finest white sand are combined to create a rich foaming cream that is applied to the entire body to assist in healing while softening the skin. Moisturising cream made of papaya, mangoes, wild yams and exotic oils work to rejuvenate the tissues and induce relaxation.
The Plantation Facial - combines sugarcane and allspice, two popular native ingredients, to create a powerful glycolic (natural sugar) skin treatment.
The Hibiscus Facial - extracts from Hibiscus blossoms help regulate moisture to the face and refresh the skin after an active day in the sea and sun; leaves the skin feeling soothed and regenerated.
Herbal Tea and Grasses Wrap - hot linen sheets teemed and steeped in local blends of herbal teas and grass will relax, detoxify and remove excess fluids. Cool scented compresses are then placed on the forehead to achieve a calming effect, followed by a gentle pressure-point facial and scalp massage.
Yam Festival Body Treatment - celebrated annually with a local festival, yams contain a natural source of estrogen that aids in wrinkle-reduction while increasing female vitality and reducing muscle inflammation.
Matrimony Fruit Bath - made with Jamaica star apples, oranges and condensed milk, this decadent bath potion is offered at the spa’s deluxe Couples’ Wet Treatment Suite and ideal for honeymooners or romantic travellers. The ingredients seal-in the moisture and leave the skin with a dew-like hue.
Jamaican Bath Therapies - guests can select from a variety of local herbs, pure essential oils and mineral salt formulas to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing.
In addition to a full-service fitness centre offered at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Rose Hall, several mind-body fitness programs and activities are also available.
