You may remember that last weekend ISPA sent a questionnaire to all European members regarding the troubled 2003 ISPA Europe Congress. Since then, the responses have been processed and today ISPA issued this statementå...
“Because there wasn`t a clear majority of you who asked that the event go forward, ISPA will not proceed with the Europe Congress that was scheduled for May 29 - June 1 in Stockholm, Sweden. Instead, ISPA will turn its immediate focus to providing you with alternative venues for education and networking, as well as research.
As you`ve told us, the main benefits of membership are the educational and networking opportunities you receive. Because we want to deliver these benefits, ISPA is prepared to respond to your needs. As we move forward, please let me know your thoughts on regional ISPA events in various countries. I am also interested in hearing about spa industry conferences that you currently attend. We are researching the idea of adding ISPA spa tracks to existing conferences. Your feedback will help ISPA enhance the current educational and networking opportunities for you and other members.
I am available by e-mail or phone to speak with you, and welcome your comments or questions. Please contact me at [email protected] or 1.859.226.4260.
If you have registered for the Europe Congress, I have been told that you will receive a full reimbursement. You should contact ISPA Europe`s Marketing Chair Mark Silver by e-mail. His e-mail address is [email protected]
In the meantime, I am pleased to report that theISPA Asia-Pacific Conference in Taipei, Taiwan, April 24-26, is proceeding as scheduled. If you can attend this event, it will be a wonderful opportunity for education and networking. Plus, the ISPA Annual Conference & Expo is set for Oct. 13-16 in Dallas, Texas, USA. The 13th annual event is the global spa industry`s proven resource for education and networking. Registration will begin May 1st.
We know how important education is to the success of your business. ISPA`s goal is to provide you with every opportunity to increase your industry knowledge, and we are working diligently to bring you enhanced member benefits. Stay tuned!”
