19th Mar 2003

New mothers can now bond with their baby in sublime spa style during The Greenhouse`s Baby and Me Week, a unique event created for expectant mothers and those with babies 11 months old or younger.

The programme, entitled ‘For You and Your Baby’ takes place from March 23-26 at The Greenhouse in Arlington, Texas. It features Mummy-Baby Yoga, Pilates and Baby Watsu, as well as discussion on child health and development with noted physicians. Baby-sitting arrangements are available with certified childcare professionals and guests can also take their own nanny.

As a world-renowned spa destination, The Greenhouse is something of a celebrity secret, with clientele that includes supermodels, several American First Ladies and international Royalty, who visit the spa seeking exclusive health and beauty treatments that nurture the body and soul in a beautifully tranquil environment.

The luxurious Texas retreat, which caters exclusively for women, is an elegant, newly renovated, southern style mansion, secluded by landscaped gardens and featuring a marble-floor atrium with massive skylight and beautiful pool surrounded by luxury guest rooms.
With a ratio of four staff members to each guest, personal service is paramount. There is a limit of 39 guests per week, and each one is assigned her own manicurist, masseuse, hairdresser, and personal aesthetician for the duration.

The spa presents a full range of well-balanced activities that focus on health, beauty, and learning, together with thalassotherapy, salt scrubs, cellulite treatments, and facials. Signature favorites include the Herbal Enzyme Peeling Treatment and the Soothing Cool Gel Leg Treatment.
Recent accolades received by the resort include Town & Country’s Guide for 21st Century Spas; Travel & Leisure’s Top 10 World’s Best US Spas; National Geographic Travellers Top 24 Best US Spas; and USA Today «s 10 Great Places to Lose Weight.

The Greenhouse opened in 1965 with the mission to provide women from all over the world a calm oasis in the most luxurious of settings. In 1989, Gerald and Lee Katzoff purchased The Greenhouse and used this philosophy as the foundation to create a destination of renowned beauty and opulent luxury for mind and body rejuvenation. In 1999, an extensive, multimillion dollar makeover restored The Greenhouse to its standing today as one of the world’s top spa destinations.
