I-Spa at InterContinental - Hong Kong’s First Feng Shui Spa Retreat


The newly launched I-Spa at InterContinental is Hong Kongå‘s only spa to incorporate the principles of feng shui to achieve an ambiance of total harmony. Described has an urban oasis dedicated to rejuvenation, the 500 sq-m, full service spa features luxurious private spa suites, each with its own personal Jacuzzi, sauna, steam, shower and massage facilities.


Located on the third floor of the InterContinental Hotel, amidst the property’s expansive leisure facilities, the I-Spa philosophy is based on the principle of inner and outer harmony, with treatments to rebalance yin and yang and to give a sense of total wellbeing. State-of-the-art treatments are showcased in the new light and airy spa rooms together with an expanded range of therapies and products.

“Our hotel guests have always been avid patrons of our spa. Now non-hotel guests and local patrons are also discovering what a gem it is, especially since the recent expansion of our spa and leisure facilities,” says managing director, Jennifer Fox. “We now offer series of treatments which provide truly visual results. We have also introduced a host of new treatments, such as the state-of-the-art ‘Lift 6’ non-surgical face lift and the ‘Cellu M6’ slimming and anti-cellulite treatment, both from France.”


Signature treatments at the spa include Jetlag Relief and Oriental Healing. Jetlag Relief treatments include The Stressbuster and The Rejuvenator, both 90 minute treatments one with skin brushing and exfoliation followed by a full aromatherapy massage; the other with an Oceanic Salt Glow to exfoliate and nourish the skin, followed by a deeply hydrating Oxygen Brightening Facial. Guests can select from the Good Night, Sleep Tight to relax and help disturbed sleeping patterns or the Morning Jump Start to invigorate and revitalise.

Oriental Healing treatments presented on the I-Spa therapy menu include the Chinese Herbal Wrap, which harnesses the medicinal and health enhancing benefits of Chinese herbs in the wrap and incorporates ‘Chi’, the energy life form. The Ginger & Honey Wrap and Almond & Soya Scrub nourish the skin, while Traditional Chinese Massage and reflexology rebalance the body.

The newly expanded, 24-hour Fitness Centre at InterContinental Hong Kong has
doubled in size and features twice the equipment, with the latest cardio-vascular and resistance machines, each outfitted with individual flat screen televisions and head-sets, plus a range of free weights.

 

I-Spa is also the only venue in Hong Kong (and in Asia) to exclusively feature the beauty techniques and products of Anastasia of Beverly Hills, the renowned ‘brow and make-up artist to the stars’. Anastasia was in Hong Kong earlier this year to train the I-Spa’s staff in her unique techniques and to introduce her exclusive make-up line.
