Crete Spa Expands by Popular Demand

The Royal Mare Thalasso spa, part of the five-star Aldemar Royal Mare Village in Hersonnisos, Crete, has expanded facilities for 2003, following overwhelming demand for its unique thalassotherapy treatments.
When the spa reopens for the summer in mid April, it will incorporate a second aquagym pool, a fourth affusion shower cabin and three more algae application cabins, taking the spaå‘s total to seven.

Marketing manager for the Royal Mare Thalasso, Carolina Angelopoulou, comments, “The popularity of the spa in 2002 has been unprecedented. This extra investment in the centre’s future growth has been hugely worthwhile and needed, as during 2002 there were a few periods at the height of the season when the spa was operating at maximum capacity.”

During 2002 the Royal Mare Thalasso increased its business by 25%, rebelling against the reported down-turn in visitors to Greece during last summer. “It is testament to the high level of service and quality of accommodation we provide at Aldemar that our client base is continually growing. 2003 looks set to be another record year and the new facilities at the spa can only work towards increasing our success,” concluded Carolina.

The Royal Mare Thalasso, achieves its reputation as one of the best thalassotherapy spa centres in the world by offering a treatment and package menu that includes; anti-cellulite, vein tone, harmonia, slimming, new energy vertebral, beauty plus, body shape and wellness. Packages at the spa range between two and six days in duration, with guests monitored during their treatments by the spa’s resident doctor.

Erna Low is one of the major tour operators to feature in the five-star Aldemar Royal Mare Village and Royal Mare Thalasso summer programme.
