Doral Golf Resort and Spa has reached the final phase of a remarkable property-wide renovation with the completion of a $40 million facelift for its guest rooms. Over the past three years, Miamiå‘s premier destination resort has invested more than $75 million on the renovation, including the addition of The Blue Lagoon water recreation area, restoration of its Spa suites, the opening of its fifth golf course, The Great White, and the enhancement of its existing courses.
“We were extremely pleased with the result of our investment in new Spa Suites in the summer of 2000,” says Tom Manno, vice president and general manager at Doral, “And we are excited to complete the last phase of this incredible improvement process now that the remaining 646 resort rooms are complete. What our guests will find is a product that further raises the bar on the standard of excellence that has been associated with this historic resort”.
The enhancement process began in 1998 at the Doral Resort, which is this year celebrating its 40th anniversary. The resort’s distinctive lodge design allowed Doral to move rapidly in the renovation process without compromising the guest experience and the resort remained open during the entire process.
