The UKå‘s leading supplier of premium spa products, Klafs, has won a major contract to supply and install a complete relaxation suite in Londonå‘s new å£11 million Virgin Active club.

Klafs Ltd., part of the expanding Richard Corsie Leisure Group, RCL, was awarded the contract at the new luxury spa and health club in Wandsworth by Virgin Active following its successful installation of two previous London spa sites in Islington and Acton. Under the terms of the contract Klafs` in-house team of installation engineers and technicians will build a fully customised relaxation and wellbeing suite, comprising two advanced large-scale sauna systems, a Romanesque steam bath, an ice igloo and three themed shower areas.

The new total relaxation suite will house a large 25-person Profi Evento state-of-the-art sauna, featuring wall-mounted cascading Aquaviva light and audio multi-sensory panels. Klafs will build a large Sanarium sauna combining a soft steam, herbal and warm air bathing experience with soft mood enhancing red, yellow, green and blue lighting effects.
The spa will also feature a massive Roman steam bath where handcrafted ceramics and fountains combine with frescos and pillars to create the ultimate in steam bathing. To complete the bathing cycle Klafs plan to install a refreshing ice igloo featuring an ice fountain and three different shower facilities. A fun shower with tropical rainstorms, a feature shower with overhead douche bucket and an experience shower with invigorating hot and cold water bursts.

Klafs installed its first Virgin Active relaxation suite in Islington in June 2002, followed by Acton in July. All of the Virgin Active spa and relaxation suites are bespoke. Centrally located in Wandsworth`s main shopping area, the new spa is part of Virgin Active`s `total club` concept, which, in addition to the spa facilities offers full fitness and health treatment programmes.
