Simon Cooper, president and chief operating officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., and Giles Shepard C.B.E., deputy chairman of The Ritz London, have announced the signing of a marketing agreement between the award-winning Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and the independently owned, world-renowned luxury hotel, The Ritz London.
Under the terms of the agreement, reservations at The Ritz London can now be made using The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company global reservation system. Simon Cooper said, “We are delighted that customers wishing to experience the legendary service and surroundings of Cesar Ritz`s famed Ritz London can now reserve their stay through our extensive reservation network. As a native of Britain, the legacy of The Ritz London is one I have appreciated and admired for many years. We are proud to represent them.”
“The Ritz London`s partnership with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company affords us access to a large base of existing Ritz-Carlton guests and we look forward to welcoming them to London and being of service”, responded Giles Shepard.
In 2002, The Ritz London became the only hotel to be awarded a Royal Warrant by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, for services to banqueting and catering. The landmark hotel, redolent of a French chateau overlooking the famous Green Park, is located at 150 Piccadilly in the heart of London`s West End.
In 1995 The Ritz London was returned to private ownership and there followed a seven-year £40 million restoration program.
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company , headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, was founded in 1983. Two-time winner of America`s Malcolm Baldrige Award for Service, the only hospitality organisation so honored, the company currently manages 48 hotels and resorts in nations around the world, with a dozen more under construction.
Spa experiences within the group are also renowned, combining the Ritz-Carlton reputation for attention to detail and indigenous treatments of the local environment, which focus on all areas of wellness by offering the latest in self-improvement therapies.
