American health resort operator, Canyon Ranch, is to design and operate the spa, beauty salon, wellness and fitness facilities on board Queen Mary 2 - the new flagship of Cunard Line. When it sets sail in late 2003, the 150,000-ton ocean liner will be the worldå‘s grandest and largest passenger vessel ever constructed.
Canyon Ranch SpaClub aboard Queen Mary 2 will incorporate unique water features throughout, emphasizing the healing and therapeutic benefits of water and heat. A 30 ft. x 15 ft. Thalassotherapy Pool will feature airbed recliner lounges, neck fountains, deluge waterfall, air tub and body massage jet benches.
The new Canyon Ranch SpaClub will feature 20,000 square feet of state-of-the-art spa, wellness and fitness facilities located on two decks of the ship, plus a luxurious full-service beauty salon.
The SpaClub amenities will include:

Presentations and workshops by Canyon Ranch healthy living experts will address lifestyle change, health and medical issues, stress management, smoking cessation, healthy aging and disease prevention. Certified fitness instructors will also conduct daily group and private fitness, yoga and tai chi classes for passengers.
SpaClub’s array of rejuvenating spa treatments will include massages and therapeutic bodywork, mud, aromatherapy, ayurvedic and seaweed treatments, facials and masks, conditioning body scrubs and therapeutic body cocoons - as well as the exotic Rasul Ceremony, a Canyon Ranch SpaClub signature treatment. Spa cuisine from the Canyon Ranch kitchens will be available at various restaurants aboard Queen Mary 2.
