The Half Moon Resort Jamaica Awards Scholarships

The Half Moon Golf, Tennis and Beach Club in Montego Bay has awarded 75 scholarships to students of secondary schools.

The scholarships to children of employees at the hotel included the payment of school fees for 35 students, and the award of 40 book grants. Additionally, Half Moon for the seventh time, awarded a special scholarship to a student of the Edwards Preparatory School in Torado Heights, Montego Bay.

The Half Moon scholarship programme has been in existence since September 1995. This year, as a compliment to the awards, recipients and their parents participated in a workshop entitled, “Being the Best” held at the hotel.
The workshop imparted study tips and values and attitudes. The scholarship programme is one of several at the hotel designed to contribute to nation-building and the development of future leaders.

Half Moon Golf, Tennis & Beach Club, is, quite possibly, one of the most beautiful resorts in the world. Set between two captivating, crescent-shaped beaches dotted with palm trees, and over 50 freshwater pools, the resort’s exclusive, therapeutic day spa, together with its 18-hole Robert Jones Championship Golf Course and impressive tennis facilities, are absolutely world-class.

The easy, elegant style of Half Moon is evident throughout the resort’s 419 luxurious guest accommodations, including suites and private villas that blend seamlessly into the lush landscape to provide spectacular views. Elements of European style work with the warmth and vibrant colors of Jamaica, and the welcome greeting that awaits every guest into the Half Moon’s amazing open-air lobby is just one of the many reasons why visitors return time and time again.
