Turnberry Isle Resort & Club Opens Its New $10 Million Spa

The legendary Turnberry Isle Resort & Club opens its long-anticipated, 25,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art spa and fitness center to the rave reviews of guests and members.

Conveniently located within the resort and adjacent to the main entrance, The Spa at Turnberry Isle, was designed by renowned resort architect Tag Galyean. A dramatic 40- foot curved glass wall topped with a skylight ascends throughout the three-story structure enhancing the spa`s beautiful Mediterranean-style exterior. The glass wall nestles an interior wrought iron spiral staircase, which ascends the entire height of the freestanding building; this staircase encircles a stunning water fountain and offers views of the resort`s extensive gardens. The remaining interior of the spa is an eclectic mix of design, combining elements that both suggest tropical energy and encourage complete relaxation through its soothing colors and welcoming ambiance.

The menu of services is no less unique; each treatment has been carefully selected from around the world and adapted to the exacting standards of the spa staff. In many instances, the treatments are exclusive to the Spa at Turnberry Isle and are not found at others facilities throughout the United States.

Tammy Pahel, Director of Spa, spends countless hours researching the needs and desires of resort guests and Club members.

“Because our average spa guest is so well-traveled and sophisticated, she or he comes to expect only the finest in both the uniqueness and quality of the service,” Pahel said. “Therefore, we have compiled a menu that offers items that reflect our commitment to our guest`s satisfaction.”

Pahel added that the novelty of these services adds to the guest`s enjoyment. Among some of Turnberry Isle`s most unique treatments are:

The Omni Salus: Meaning Italian for “total well being”. This unique series of treatments uses products containing thermal waters known for their healing qualities since the Roman Empire. The treatment includes a facial, scalp and foot massage and body exfoliant. By the end of this treatment there is not an inch of body that has not been cleansed, massaged or made to feel completely rejuvenated.

Lomi Lomi Massage: Based on the Hawaiian concept of working with the body, mind and spirit. Lomi is the ability to communicate deep into the bones and soul of the individual, without imposition.

Savar Crystal Glow: A therapeutic body treatment using crystals from the distilled waters of Savar, Hungary, famous for the “Hungarian Water Cure”. Ideal for exfoliating and remineralizing the skin, leaving it soft and radiant, relaxing the muscles, and drawing out impurities. Savar revives sagging spirits, making the mind and body glow.

There are more than 60 services offered at The Spa at Turnberry Isle. Each service also incorporates signature touches exclusive to the resort, such as a choice of selecting from one of the four fragrances created solely for Turnberry Isle and named after the hotel`s four guest wings, Jasmine, Magnolia, Hibiscus or Orchid.

Turnberry Isle Resort & Club features either two, four or five-night Spa getaways or individual programs can be custom-designed to cater to specific needs.
